Might be a good idea. The doctor might learn something too! I believe it's still said that nobody ever has any withdrawal symptoms from SSRIs, which is bunk. It would be good if people could discuss these issues with a doctor - otherwise they tend not to come to light at all.
What about supplements and other "complementary" treatments, that is other than CBT and SSRIs? Perhaps not on the same one as the medication. An expert on conventional medication wouldn't necessarily know a lot about other kinds. But it would be good if we could discuss them with a doctor who knew the facts and figures about these things - some do.

all medicines are poisons (you can bet somebody will suggest an exception.Thats just the way it goes.and its matter of do the gains outweigh the downsides, and when its matter of science, its still, subjective opinion and interpretation and not all opinions are of equal merit or validity.. money and media access counts and the frequency of the shout too.
and that said about bias there is, but that doesnt make alternatives any more effective or less. Many argue their own particular vested position and create entrenchment, some entrenches so deep they set up home in them, and colonise, and grow vegetables.Hence pharmacology its green world.
